Biolab goes Green

Biolab goes Green is a collaboration between the GGO and students from biomedical sciences to make the bio lab in Helix more sustainable. Together with the students who work in the bio lab, we have explored ways to decrease the lab’s energy consumption. GO Green Office supplied three energy meters to gain more insight into the energy consumption as a first step to reducing it. With all the data, Biolab will check if adjustments can be made in the set-up of electrical equipment or if it is economically beneficial to change it for more energy-efficient equipment. These energy meters can be used in other places after enough data about the bio lab is gathered. This way, further developments can be made.
