Team Manager
Are you eager to enhance sustainability on campus and work in an ambitious team?
Job Description – Team Manager
The Go Green Office (GGO) is a team of ambitious students who are passionate about making an impact at TU/e and share a strong commitment to sustainability on campus. Our team recognizes that university campuses are representative of many of the larger-scale issues evident in our societies – from food, waste, and energy problems to gender and social equity issues, we see the positive contribution a single university can make to create a better world.
As Team Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Go Green Office, ensuring that all other team members are able to carry out their tasks. You are in charge of ensuring that the work is in alignment with the GGO’s vision, and you will work together with our team coordinator to ensure the well–being of the team. This role also comes with some administrative tasks, like creating the agenda, chairing the team meetings, planning evaluations and team brainstorming sessions and keeping track of action points. You are the face of the team, especially towards stakeholders outside of the TU/e. As Team Manager, you also represent the Go Green Office within the TU/e’s Sustainability Core Team. This team consists of staff members playing a central role in sustainability at TU/e. Lastly, the team manager keeps track of who in the team might need some extra support for their tasks and helps out whenever necessary.
Profile
Our team is looking for an enthusiastic team member with strong networking and strategic skills, as well as a commitment to sustainability. GGO is an incredibly open learning environment that allows you to develop professional skills and build a network within and outside of TU/e.
We are looking for an open and approachable student, with strong project management skills. You have excellent English communication skills, and you are good at keeping an overview of what is happening within the team. Moreover, you take initiative and are decisive and structured, while remaining compassionate and open-minded. This role requires a lot of personal responsibility, thus previous experience in a leadership position in a student team or association is required.
Start Date and Working Hours
You will become a part of the GO Green Office team starting September 1st. As a GGO member, you are expected to spend 16 hours each week on the job for at least one academic year until June 30th, 2024.
